Meh
Free rental? Bittorrent > rentals
Playstation Home? I’d play WoW if I wanted to interact with other virtual humans.

Free Games – I only own Super Startdust HD, so this works out pretty well for me. They aren’t blockbuster new releases but then again the outage didn’t inconvenience me at all, I rarely use Netflix over torrents for TV and I don’t game online. As for my personal information, Sony is just the highest profile company to have been hacked. In the last few months pretty much every major retailer was compromised when Epsilon was hacked. Hell, my webhost had their credit card server hacked last Friday. Nothing is safe, so I won’t lay all the blame on Sony if some phony purchases show up on my card.

My overall view on the “Welcome Back” program is this: it’s a small concession to make up for several weeks of lost service. It doesn’t cover all the bases by any means, most loyal PS3 owners will already own or have already played these games. If this were a service like Xbox Live where I actually paid for it, then I’d be pissed and demanding some monetary refunds in addition to the free games. I think Sony’s best move would have been to offer the games or a free month to Netflix or Hulu if you were already a subscriber. They’d have made a few people a little happier at least.
