Quarantine, Week Ten

May 21, 2020 -

I mean, it's late week ten, but here we are. Grocery store every other week rather than five times per week? That's the new normal. Working from my lightless sixty-degree cat-litter-smelling basement man-cave on beautiful spring days? New normal. Daughter screaming upstairs that she doesn't want to do school, she just wants to see her friends? Yeah. That one's rough.

I try to go for at least a couple walks per day when it's not raining, but my daily steps are generally still below 6000. We put in tomato plants in the backyard last weekend, but still haven't gotten in the paint we need to repaint the back deck which we spent days sanding. My hair is the longest it's ever been in my adult life, and my haircut next week got postponed again.

But I've been catching up on shows I'd wanted to watch. I watched the Netflix Dark Crystal series, Jessica Jones season three, all of Ozarks and I'm into season two of Marvel's Runaways.

I also played through most of Borderlands 2 again, and I started Daymare 1998. But the cool new game I'm really into is the digital version of the board game Spirit Island, which is awesome.

My company announced this morning that nobody is going back to the office until September at the earliest, so I guess we're in it for the long haul.
