Although it's a childrens' book, it's pretty popular, so you may have heard of Diary of a Wimpy Kid. I hadn't heard of it until my friend Charlie gave Linda and I a copy nearly a year ago. When Rachel and Charlie visited again last month, he gave us a copy of the sequel. When you look at the acknowledgements at the back of the book, Charlie's name is first.

Charlie's been in the publishing industry for a while - he worked for years at DC Comics, and did a lot of really cool stuff there. If you ever see in my sidebar that I'm reading a DC book, it's likely because Charlie gave it to me while he worked there.

While Rachel and Charlie were visiting last month, Charlie got a phone call and did an interview over the phone. Recently, he sent me a link to the article that came out of that interview. You can read it right here. I just think it's cool that a guy I know was a big part of putting together something so successful - Wimpy Kid is now due to be made into a movie. In the meantime, I really need to read the books.
