So I've hand-coded a Turing Test for my blog. It's crude, but I'm counting on the fact that my little site isn't worth the effort for spammers to circumvent the measures I've implemented. I know that it's only a matter of time before the spam starts rolling in again, but for the time being, I'm calling this a win.
So for now, you'll have to answer a stupid little question every time you post a comment on my site. I understand that from time to time, you may end up being blocked simply because my question was bad or because I failed to anticipate something, but at the very least I'll be notified of those failures, and hopefully any bugs can be worked out swiftly. I've done my best to make the questions mildly entertaining, but when inventing dozens and dozens of questions that are obvious to humans but difficult for machines, creativity swiftly runs dry.
