Mercury News reports this morning that the MPAA has joined the RIAA in suing its customer base. I shouldn't be surprised, but I had some hope that they wouldn't stoop to those levels. I guess I won't be rushing out the theatres as much anymore.
I dunno -- can't you just roll all this up into "entertainment" in general? The MPAA and the RIAA sue their customers. Organized sports keeps jacking up ticket prices and begging money from wherever they can get it, and who gets screwed? The fans. I've long believed that people generally get the kind of government they deserve. In this situation, as long as people keep buying tickets, CDs and movie tickets, then they get what they deserve as well. Right?
When you come right down to it, nothing matters except the money.
