I've just realized what a media whore I am. Without realizing it, I've become a bit obsessed with consuming as much media as I can get my hands on. Podcasts are just the latest thing, but even without those I've got two or three TV shows I'm following at any given time, plus a steady stream of movies coming in via Netflix. Currently, Linda and I are re-watching season 1 of 24 through Netflix.
I've taken a bit of a hiatus from the video games due to the move, but that's definately a huge part of the media consumption. Once I get my PC set back up, I want to continue playing F.E.A.R. and Dragonshard, and I'm ready to play Half-Life:Opposing Force, Half-Life 2:Lost Coast, Metal Gear Solid 2, and Doom 3. And of course I'll soon have to buy Indigo Prophecy. On the Playstation side, I'm trying to finish up Resident Evil:Code Veronica before I move on to Resident Evil 4. Also, I'm dying to try out Shadow of the Colossus and God of War.
Books are the final facet of this media orgy. I'm nearly finished with Knife of Dreams, and I just picked up A Feast For Crows - got both of those on their release dates. After that, I'm eager to start Woken Furies and Eragon. And that doesn't count the twenty-something books sitting on my to-read shelf... er... in my to-read box. (haven't unpacked it yet)
So yes, I am consuming media at an alarming rate. Let's hope this doesn't result in some kind of mind obesity.
