#4: Alien
#3: The Empire Strikes Back
#2: Star Wars
#1: Blade Runner
I've never seen the 1922 version of Nosferatu or Brazil, so I can't comment on those. I would have liked to see Highlander higher on that list, and I can't understand why they put Star Wars higher than Empire Strikes Back. I also haven't yet gotten into Firefly, so I can't comment on Serenity. Lastly, I've never been as big a fan of Blade Runner as other people seem to be. So here were my picks.
10- Night of the Living Dead (original version)
9- Interview with the Vampire
8- Stir of Echoes
7- 28 Days Later
6- Jaws
5- Alien
4- Silence of the Lambs
3- The Exorcist
2- The Fallen
1- Signs
As much as I love the Evil Dead series, I was thinking of them more as comedy than as horror, so I left them out. I also categorized Alien as horror instead of Sci Fi.
10- Krull
9- The 13th Warrior
8- Excalibur
7- The Dark Crystal
6- Dragonslayer
5- Princess Bride
4- Clash of the Titans
3- Conan the Barbarian
2- Highlander
1- Lord of The Rings (All 3)
I'm so ashamed that I neglected to include Big Trouble in Little China, which is a favorite of mine.
10- Deep Impact
9- War of the Worlds
8- The Terminator
7- Minority Report
6- Terminator 2
5- Star Wars (A New Hope)
4- The Matrix
3- Frequency
2- Contact
1- The Empire Strikes Back
I'm actually pretty surprised that Frequency and Contact didn't make the big list. Terrific movies.
