Right now, aside from the games I'm currently playing (Phoenix Wright: Ace Attourney, Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones) and the games I know I'll soon go back to (MarioKart, Oblivion, Condemned, Castlevania DS, Resident Evil: Code Veronica X) I've got a mental list of games I'd like to play. This is my top ten list. Actually eight. I could only come up with eight.
8. Resident Evil DS - I can't keep track of all the gimmicky DS subtitles anymore. You know, the ones that always follow a colon. Deadly Silence. Dawn of Sorrow. Demon Seal. Destiny Sardine. Whatever. It's Resident Evil - the first one. Apparently, it's a fairly faithful remake with some puzzles that have been retrofitted for the DS. I loved the game, so I'm willing to try it.
7. Space Rangers 2 I've heard a lot about this game. Similar to Galactic Civilizations 2, which I stopped playing after a few hours. Space Rangers 2 sounds like more fun though. Lots of text-only minigames, and you get to deliver pizza.
6. LostMagic There's a Dearth of RPGs for the DS. The only good ones I've been able to find are GBA games. But Lostmagic looks promising. You cast different spells by drawing symbols with the stylus, and I don't know much more than that right now.
5. Stubbs the Zombie: Rebel without a Pulse I've heard that this is a fun game with some good comedy. Psychonauts taught me the value of humor in games - I'd like to give Stubbs a shot.
4. The Thief Series I loved Tenchu, loved Beyond Good and Evil, and liked Metal Gear Solid 2 a lot. Stealth games are fun. So I'm hoping to really dig the Thief games. Someday I'll get ahold of one.
3. Killer 7 I've never played any game in this series. But I've heard that this game is totally whacked, as in strange. Insane in a good way. I'm sure all the talk wasn't for nothing, so I'd like to try it.
2. Eternal Darkness I don't know exactly how I'll ever end up playing this, since it's currently Gamecube-specific. Maybe they'll eventually port it to the PC. Maybe I'll buy a Wii and play it on that. It's a very highly rated survival horror game in which I hear you can actually go insane. Nice.
1. Resident Evil 4 Hard to believe I haven't played it yet. At first, I was trying to finish Resident Evil:Code Veronica X first, but then I saw that RE4 was being released for the PC on September 13th, so I decided to wait. As long as Gamespot doesn't give the PC version a crappy rating, I'm going to buy it.
I've got a feeling that I won't be playing many of these any time soon, but I'll try to start going through them once the summer is over.
