So yeah, I actually was in Manhattan this Wiikend during the big console launch, but I didn't make it to Times Square for the event. Went right past Sony Plaza though, and there was nobody there. If I'd been able to get the wireless connection on the laptop to work, I'd probably have found out where things were going on, and I could have walked over to take a few pictures. Maybe it's just as well - I didn't have to worry about catching stray bullets from all those psychos stealing a PS3.
I was at a wedding, and it was actually a great wedding. It was great to see everyone, and even my brothers made it down to hang out Friday night and Saturday morning. The wedding was on an upper floor of this building on the west side, overlooking the Hudson, and parts of New Jersey and the city - amazing view. Anne-Marie and Brandon were married by an African officiant, and she wore a traditional-looking bandana-type headcloth. It was awesome. The ceremony was very non-traditional: I don't think I've ever seen so many laughs during a wedding ceremony. Brandon stopped to pose and flex halfway down the aisle.
It was really good to be back on the East Coast, although I was ready to leave The City after the long weekend. I just can't wait to get a look at the pictures my brothers, Rachel, Charlie, and Michelle took. I'll try to post mine soon.
