So our Saturday flight out of Colorado Springs was cancelled. That was quite the shock, but Linda's sister Regina got on the phone and after a few hours on the phone got us Saturday tickets out of Denver direct to LaGuardia. Perhaps that was a mistake. We spent the entire day Sunday at Denver International Airport. Turns out that there were 5000 people in the airport on standby, and the line to get through security was 4 hours long. We spent 3 hours in the check-in line, after which we got a refund on the plane ticket, since we didn't feel like sleeping at the airport for two days.
And that is how I find myself still in Colorado on Christmas Day.
But my wife is a motivated lady. The next morning, she got online and bought us two more tickets. We have a flight leaving this afternoon to Bradley International Airport in Hartford. With any luck, this one won't be cancelled.
