You can tell I do not play video games because I have no clue who any of these characters are.

I knew the security guard from Half-Life was Barney, but I had no idea that Calhoun was his last name. Perhaps that was revealed in the Blue Shift expansion or in Half-Life 2.

The only other character on the list from a game I've actually played was the Starcraft fellow, so I don't feel too bad.

Then again, there's number 5, which definitely has a fantasy-RPG feel to it. I'll probably feel foolish when that one is revealed.

Alrighty - here's your big long answer list.

1 - Otacon Otacon is the guy on the other end of the com when you're playing Metal Gear Solid. I've only ever played MGS2, but I've definately got an intent to go back and play the original PS1 title as well as more recent ones.

2 - Ada Wong Ada made her first appearance towards the end of Resident Evil 2, which I still think is the best of all the Resident Evil games, although RE4 is a close second.

3 - Mia Fey Mia Fey was a mentor attourney in Phoenix Wright.

4 - Barney Calhoun Barney is the security guard in Half-Life who joins Gordon in the rebellion versus the combine in Half-Life 2. KJ - are you saying you've never played Half-Life 2?? That's one of the best games I've ever played. Ever. You need to try it.

5 - Illidan Stormrage Illidan was an elf-turned-demon in Warcraft 3. As I understand it, he has recently made an appearance in World of Warcraft with the Burning Crusade expansion. Matt King of GeeksOn voiced the original Illidan in Warcraft 3, but was not given the role for WoW. And there was much complaining and gnashing of teeth on behalf of catassers and poopsockers.

6 - Manny Calavera Manny Calavera is the friendly grim reaper travel agent from Grim Fandango. I'm gonna pull out that game one of these days and actually finish it.

7 - Zeratul Zeratul is a Dark Templar from Starcraft, the best RTS ever created.

8 - Iolo Fitzowen Iolo is from the Ultima series of games - a close friend of The Avatar.

9 - Pey'j Pey'j is the piglike uncle of Jade in the game Psychonauts, another of my absolute favorite games. I'm planning on a third replay when I get some time.

10 - Sasha Nein Sasha Nein is a Psychonaut who teaches Rasputin a thing or two with the Brain Tumbler beneath the Geodesic Psychoisolation chamber.
