Here's a new one. Over the years, there've been tons of viral videos circulating the 'tubes, and I've picked out nine here that have definite titles. So can you name these nine viral videos? I'll post links to each video when I post answers. Enjoy.
ANSWERS
Upper-left: Music video forHere It Goes Again by OK Go - for a second time, the British band OK Go came out with a viral video to promote their latest song. Their trademark is one-shot takes of intricate choreography despite lack of any formal dance training.
Top Center: Leeroy Jenkins - this World of Warcraft character became legendary after this video of a group in WoW's Upper Blackrock Spire circulated the net in 2005. In the video, Leeroy's player misses the intricate plans his group is making while he reheats chicken in his mom's microwave. Upon returning to his computer, Leeroy screams a battle cry and runs haphazardly into the area while his group watches in stunned silence. They then follow him in and are all slaughtered.
Top Right: Evolution of Dance - a viral video of a stage preformance that got quite popular.
Center Left: Remade parody GI Joe PSAs Somewhere along the line, someone edited the video and overdubbed the audio on a bunch of those old G.I. Joe public service announcements. They're hilarious. Now you know. And knowing is half the battle.
Center: Boom Goes the Dynamite - this sportscaster has no idea what he's doing, largely due to being excessively nervous. Watching this is like watching a Ben Stiller movie - it's painfully embarrassing.
Center Right: Numa Numa - everybody knows the Numa Numa guy, singing in front of his computer with a quirky little dance. Don't you?
Bottom Left: Dramatic Hamster - a funny 5-second clip of a hamster that made it big earlier this year.
Bottom Center: The Star Wars Kid - ahh, the Star Wars kid, poorly emulating Ray Park's masterful performance as Darth Maul. As Wikipedia explains, In 2002, he recorded himself in a studio at his high school, and some other kids got ahold of the tape and shared it online, where millions viewed it.
Bottom Right: Chocolate Rain, by Tay Zonday - The guy's obviously a talented pianist, but who'd have thought a guy who looks like Urkel would have such a deep voice?
2. That looks like it might be the "LeRoy Jenkins" World of WarCraft video. Can't be sure, though.
3. The History of Dance. Very, very funny.
4. One of the remixed G.I. JOE PSAs.
5. I've seen this. Sportscasters has trouble reporting the sports news. Don't recall the details.
6. That's Gary Brolsma, baby! AKA as the "Numa Numa Guy", Gary lip-synched to O-Zone's "Dragostea Din-Tei". His return video was much less...fun.
7. Dramatic Hamster. Something like that.
8. Ah, the Star Wars kid. Lesson learned: always take the media out of the camera when you're finished recording yourself.
9. Last but not least, it's "Chocolate Rain" by...a guy whose name starts with Z.
