I just ran out to Brueggers this morning and got a bagel and some good coffee. Yum. Damn, but I wish there was a place I could get that stuff that was less out of my way. There are a couple coffee places convenient to hit on my commute, but the coffee is so-so, and the bagels are horrible. In fact, there are a bunch of places that I wish I could get to without having to drive an hour. Aside from the Brueggers, here are a few.
Wild Oats Market. Or at least Whole Foods. The town I live in has a couple grocery stores, but they're all so damn basic. And then there's Wal-Mart. Ugh - don't even get me started.
D'Angelo's. Yes, it's an east coast only franchise, as far as I'm aware. But sometimes, I'd really like one of those super greasy steak and cheese sandwiches. With grilled mushrooms, onions, and peppers. I was gonna say Dunkin Donuts too, but the reason I used to always go there was for the coffee, and they started using flavor shots instead of flavored beans, and at that point I think their coffee went way downhill. The Brueggers coffee I'm drinking right now is pretty good though.
Tweeters. Best Buy is okay - actually my town could use a Best Buy - but I've somehow always been a fan of Tweeters. Media Play too. They're cool cause they sell books in addition to movies and music.
Lastly, my favorite clothing store which I believe is now totally out of business and kaput. Hey, if I'm wishing, why not wish big? Britches Great Outdoors. Everything I bought there fit me so damn well. Ah well, c'est la vie, no?
